Disciplefy is designed to help Christians deepen their faith through AI-generated Bible study guides. We are committed to protecting your privacy while providing a meaningful spiritual experience.

2.1 Personal Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, name, and chosen authentication method (Google, Apple ID)
- Profile Preferences: Language preference (English, Hindi, Malayalam), theme settings, and app preferences
- Study Content: Bible verses, spiritual topics, and study guides you generate or save
- Feedback: Comments, ratings, and suggestions you provide about our service
- Payment Information: Transaction details through our secure payment processor (Razorpay) when purchasing tokens

- Usage Data: App interactions, features used, study guide generation frequency
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, device identifiers
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, session duration, error logs

2.3 Anonymous Usage
You can use Disciplefy without creating an account. Anonymous users receive temporary session identifiers and are subject to usage limits (3 study guides per hour).

4. How We Use Your Information
4.1 Primary Uses
- Service Delivery: Generate AI-powered Bible study guides tailored to your preferences
- Account Management: Maintain your account, preferences, and saved content
- Personalization: Customize the app experience based on your language and usage patterns

4.2 AI and Content Generation
We use your input (Bible verses, spiritual topics) to generate study guides through third-party artificial intelligence services (OpenAI and Anthropic). Your input data is:
- Processed securely through encrypted connections to AI service providers
- Used solely for generating your study content and may be processed by our AI partners
- Subject to the privacy policies of our AI service providers (OpenAI, Anthropic)
- Not permanently stored by us but may be temporarily processed by AI providers
- Subject to content filtering to ensure appropriate, biblical content
4.3 Google Calendar and Meet Integration
When a fellowship mentor connects their Google account to schedule Bible study sessions, we request access to the calendar.events scope solely to:
- Create Google Calendar events on the mentor's behalf
- Generate Google Meet conference links for those events
- Send meeting invitations to fellowship members
We do not read, store, scan, or analyze any of your existing calendar events or data. Calendar access is used exclusively to create new events as explicitly requested by the mentor. This usage complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4.4 Analytics and Improvement
- Service Enhancement: Analyze usage patterns to improve app functionality
- Performance Monitoring: Track app performance and identify technical issues
- Security: Monitor for suspicious activity and protect against abuse
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
5.1 We DO NOT Sell Your Data
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5.2 Service Providers
- Supabase: Database hosting and authentication — your account data and study guides are stored with Supabase
- OpenAI/Anthropic: AI services for study guide generation — your input prompts are sent to these providers for processing
- Razorpay: Payment processing for token purchases
- Analytics Providers: Aggregated usage statistics only (no personal identification)
- Google: Calendar event creation and Google Meet link generation for fellowship scheduling — governed by Google's Privacy Policy
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, ensure user safety, or investigate violations of our Terms of Service.
6. Data Security
6.1 Security Measures
- Encryption: TLS encryption for all data transmission
- Database Security: Row-level security and access controls

- Access Control: Employee access limited on need-to-know basis

7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Account Controls
- Access: View and download your personal data

- Delete: Remove specific study guides or your entire account
- Export: Download your data in a portable format
- Revoke Google Access: Disconnect Google Calendar integration at any time via Google Account permissions
- Delete Your Account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the app (Settings → Account Actions → Delete Account) or via our dedicated deletion page at app.disciplefy.in/delete-account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
7.2 GDPR Rights (EU Users)
EU users have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, portability, object to processing, and restrict processing. Legal basis for processing includes contract performance, legitimate interest, consent, and legal obligation.
8. Children's Privacy
Disciplefy is designed for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). EU users between 13–16 must obtain parental consent before creating an account (GDPR Article 8).
